Privacy policy – Novus Business Connections Limited

Novus Business Connections Limited (‘Novus’, ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘our’) take pride in the way we care for our client’s (‘client’, ‘customer’) data.  We will only seek relevant information from our prospects and clients to better inform us as to the best way to satisfy their needs. This privacy policy sets out how we handle data with which we have been entrusted.

Please note that all data captured and processed by Novus will be done so in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, including of course GDPR.

The information we collect about individuals is always business-related information – for example name, contact details and role. This data is provided to us directly by our client or collected by us from the business.

We collect data from visitors to our website through the use of ‘contact us’ forms. Novus also collect your details when you make an enquiry to us via email. Novus also use ‘cookies’ to automatically collect information about your visit(s) to our website. Please see the ‘Cookies‘ section below for more on this.

Novus receives personal data from our client and processes this data (individuals in a business) under instruction from our client to contact them about goods and services offered by our clients in which their business may be interested. The data provided by our clients is used only to contact organisations about the specific subject that our clients have instructed us to call and is done in the performance of a contract between our two parties (Novus and client).

In accordance with GDPR and data protection laws, Novus will only process your personal data where we have a lawful basis for doing so. Lawful basis consists of Consent, Contract, Legal obligation, Legitimate interests, Public task or Vital interest.

The data we process under instruction from our client is being collected in the name of their business and so it is our client’s privacy policy a client’s prospect / data subject is referred to.

At the end of any telemarketing campaigns we undertake on behalf of our clients, the updated dataset is securely returned to our client including any updated records including any rights and requests from the data subject.

From time to time we may run our own marketing campaigns. You will always have the right to opt-out of receiving any form of marketing from us and we will always ensure that we screen any databases against the Corporate Telephone Preference Service prior to contacting businesses. We also require that all our client’s data is screened against the Corporate Telephone Preference Service before we run a campaign using it.

If you would like to opt-out of any marketing communications from us, please contact us at hello@novus-bc.com or mail to Novus Business Connections, The Atrium, Curtis Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1XA.  Please be aware that this would be to opt out of Novus related marketing only. If you wish to opt out of our client’s specific campaigns please contact them directly.

Novus Business Connections Limited will not share your data with third parties unless we have written consent from our client’s (if it is their data), are obliged to disclose personal data by law, or the disclosure is necessary for purposes of legal proceedings, national security, taxation, or criminal investigation; or where we have your consent; or in relation to a takeover, merger or asset sale of our business.

During telemarketing campaigns we call as our clients and so we therefore recommend that in the instances we contact you on behalf of a client that you review our client’s privacy policy.
